The Story of the Star Spangled Banner

Despite the typos (hailed, not held; fight, not flight; and rockets’, not rocket’s) in the text of the lyrics and the inaccuracy about our still being “colonies” (The Star Spangled Banner was composed by Francis Scott Key during the War of 1812, when we were definitely already a sovereign nation, independent of Britain, even if the British refused to believe so), the telling of the story is something all of us living here in the USA need to hear and its message to honor and to uphold today as we fight our truest Enemy: the evil that seeks to remove God’s Law from our Nation’s Laws and God’s ways from our daily lives.  May we fight the Devil and all who do his work and hold up the Judeo-Christian values this country was founded on, just as those valiant patriots fought and died to hold up our Flag so long ago.
