“Education in love: affectivity and sexuality. How to accompany young people” 08 June 2021 (ANS – Rome) – In the last two weeks of May and the first of June, delegates, consecrated persons and lay people from all the Provinces of the world participated in three formative sessions organized by the Youth Ministry Sector. This initiative was conceived in response to the need of the Provinces to form and share the pastoral and moral keys for the affective-sexual education of young people, thinking of educational criteria. The participation was very numerous and representative of the various realities: a total of about 580 people across three days. With great competence and skill, Professor Javier de la Torre introduced the participants to very delicate and significant issues on an educational-pastoral level, but also on a personal level. In the first meeting, the pastoral and moral keys for the affective sexual education of young people were provided. Homeless people to receive Covid-19 vaccines in the Vatican during Holy Week The Office of Papal Charities is working to ensure that the vulnerable and marginalized in society have access to Covid-19 vaccines. 1200 people will have the opportunity of being vaccinated in the Vatican during Holy Week. By Vatican News staff writer As the world continues to adopt measures to combat the ongoing health emergency, the Office of Papal Charities, in response to Pope Francis’s numerous appeals that no one be excluded from receiving the Covid-19 vaccines, is taking action to accompany the most vulnerable. A statement released on Friday said that during Holy Week, 1200 of the poorest and most marginalized people will have the opportunity of getting vaccinated with the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine – the same vaccine administered to the Pope and the employees of the Holy See. The vaccines will be administered in a specially designed facility inside the Paul VI Hall in the Vatican. The Church in Panama and the nation’s Ministry of Health sign a cooperation agreement, in order to work together to combat the ravages of the Covid-19 pandemic. By James Blears Panama’s Pandemic Pact, involving communities of faith right across the board standing shoulder to shoulder with the Ministry of Health, covers the entire spectrum of local, regional and national levels.
