We Salesians at the Marian Shrine in Stony Point, NY, are moving forward in being proactive and organizing events that center on our common core – youth and devotion to Mary – especially the Help of Christians. We present the following new opportunities to you in order that you may keep us in your prayers and if you are in the NY/NJ area it would be great if you could participate especially in bringing groups of young people in your apostolate to these spiritual opportunities. October 9th: Our Lady of Fatima Statue will visit the Marian Shrine. Eucharistic Adoration begins at 1:30 pm at our Mary, Help of Christians Outdoor Altar Procession with the Blessed Sacrament to Our Lady of the Rosary Statue Recitation of the Holy Rosary. Our desire is to make sure that young people are an important part of this event since we are Salesians. October 23rd: Rise Up! Lowly but Chosen – Mini-conference for youth and young adults (14-22) from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. MARCH: The sacrament of reconciliation Let us pray that we may experience the sacrament of reconciliation with renewed depth, to taste the forgiveness and infinite mercy of God. And let us pray that God may give his Church merciful priests and not torturers. Pope Francis – March 2021 When I go to confession, it is in order to be healed, to heal my soul. To leave with greater spiritual health. To pass from misery to mercy. The center of confession is not the sins we declare, but the divine love we receive, of which we are always in need. The center of confession is Jesus who waits for us, who listens to us and forgives us. Remember this: In the heart of God, we come before our mistakes. And let us pray that we may experience the sacrament of reconciliation with renewed depth, to taste the forgiveness and infinite mercy of God. And let us pray that God may give his Church merciful priests and not torturers. PRESS RELEASE “From misery to mercy”: for the Pope, confession is about God’s infinite mercy The Pope Video for March seeks to highlight the joy that the sacrament of reconciliation brings, and reminds us...

Virtual Eucharistic Conference 2020 Register Today For Free The virtual conference will be available nationwide between Friday, June 12 at 12PM EST to Sunday, June 14 at Midnight. REGISTER NOW FOR FREE Celebrate the Feast of Corpus Christi with the Universal Church. Since the very first in 1881, Eucharistic Conferences have been a staple in the Church for spreading the rich teaching of our Catholic Faith on the Real Presence. With belief in the real presence waning in our Church, our prayer is that this Virtual Eucharistic Conference may touch the hearts of the faithful and inspire a deepening devotion to Christ in the Eucharist. While a virtual conference could never replace receiving Jesus in Holy Communion, or sitting in His physical presence in adoration, we know that these incredible presentations and testimonials will inspire all who listen to a greater appreciation of Christ in the Eucharist. CONFERENCE PRESENTERS We’ve invited some incredible clergy and theologians to share the rich teachings of our Church on the Eucharist, as well as some inspiring lay ministers to share their personal testimonies.
