Saint Francis de Sales inspiring paths of holiness (ANS – Rome) – During the Spirituality Days of the Salesian Family 2022, dedicated to the spiritual and pastoral study of the Rector Major’s Strenna centered on St. Francis de Sales, Fr. Pierluigi Cameroni, Postulator General for the Causes of Saints of the Salesian Family, offered a contribution that highlights how “our journey to holiness and the promotion of the Causes of Beatification and Canonization of our Salesian Family draw great inspiration and strong motivation from him.” In fact, from his person and his doctrine emanate an impression of rare fullness, demonstrated in the serenity of his intellectual research, but also in the richness of his affections, in the “sweetness” of his teachings that have had a great influence on the Christian conscience. One could say, then, that Francis de Sales, both in his most representative works (Introduction to the Devout Life and Treatise on the Love of God) and in his continuous pastoral praxis, presents himself on the scene of the history of the Church as one of the most representative forerunners of what Vatican II calls the “universal vocation to holiness” (chapter 5 of the Dogmatic Constitution Lumen Gentium). In his major works,...

ALL-IN-ONE RESOURCE PAGE: https://donboscosalesianportal.org/salesian-family-spirituality-days-2022/ FROM ANS: Italy – SF Spirituality Days 2022: “We shall do all for love, nothing by constraint” (ANS – Turin) – The final session of the Salesian Family Spirituality Days is a more delicate moment: the extensive and fervent work of the regional groups of the previous days must arrive at a synthesis that indicates the “news” that emerged and the “intentions” for the year that opens. Just as Don Bosco wanted to impress a “strong thought” on his boys, so the Rector Major today must also be able to ascertain whether the thread that binds the 32 Groups to common inspiration is sufficiently robust, to ensure unity of purpose, and long enough, to envelop a reality extended to 134 countries. The “miracle” occurs: in the minute and a half assigned to each referent, it emerges that the topic has been adequately mulled over, both individually and by the 150 participants, and above all that each returns with a rich baggage to share in their respective Groups. REGISTER BEFORE JANUARY 10TH ON OUR HOMEPAGE: https://DonBoscoSalesianPortal.org 05 January 2022 (ANS – Rome) – There is great anticipation throughout the Salesian world for the 2022 edition of the Spirituality Days of the Salesian Family. With little more than a week to go before this important event (January 13-16, 2022) which will gather, in person and in digital mode, thousands of members of the groups of the great tree planted by Don Bosco starting from the spirituality of St. Francis de Sales, the Secretariat for the Salesian Family has announced the detailed program of the appointments: a program rich in events, opportunities for reflection and deepening, moments of communion, sharing and spirituality. Following the scheme that proved to be very effective last year, the SFSD 2022 foresee a double level of participation with live broadcasting on each of the four days from 13:00 to 15:00 (UTC + 1) of the worldwide appointments, and the creation of complementary activities at the regional level, managed with different times and methods, by the respective teams. The world events will all be broadcast live by ANS on its Facebook page and YouTube channel, in five languages (Italian, English, Spanish, French, Portuguese). 20 October 2021 (ANS – Rome) – The Salesian Family Spirituality Days are an unmissable event for those who, despite the multiplicity of different charisms, recognize Don Bosco as a beacon and guide for their life and mission in the Church and in society. In fact, they have been going on for 40 years and were also held last year, albeit with the necessary changes and attention, at a time when the Covid-19 pandemic showed its toughest face. Currently, the Secretariat for the Salesian Family, led by the Central Delegate of the Rector Major, Fr Joan Lluís Playà, is working on the next edition, which will be held in mixed mode – in presence in Turin-Valdocco, and with digital platforms – from 13 to 16 January 2022. Per tradition, the Spirituality Days, on a thematic level, will serve to deepen the message of the Rector Major’s Strenna for the new year. The guideline, therefore, will be drawn on the basis of the motto already announced last July by the Rector Major – “Do all through love, nothing through constraint” – a theme drawn from the wisdom of St. Francis de Sales, the Genevan bishop who Pope Pius IX proclaimed...
