FRIENDS and SERVANTS of the WORD
March 11, 2021
Third Thursday of Lent
WORD of the DAY
But if it is by the finger of God that I drive out demons,
then the Kingdom of God has come upon you. (Luke 11:20)
How shall I live this Word?
Jesus offers us clear criteria of discernment on what moves in the human heart. It is the finger of God who from the very beginning is the creator of life, sets in motion processes of freedom from the Divider. We just need to carefully watch what moves in our heart to understand if we gather with Him, or if we disperse our vital energies. The discernment of spirits starts from one’s own heart, because often what is stirring in the depths does not show itself in words. Any divisive attitude does not come from God.
Father, grant us the discernment of spirits,
So that we never turn away from following Jesus,
only Master and Lord,
who makes us servants in freedom and joy
of your coming Kingdom.
Through Christ our Lord.
The Voice of J. Rademakers, a Seeker of God
While Jesus reveals the depths of mercy in the heart of God, He also reveals the profound misery that is hidden in human hearts, and especially of those responsible for the Word, witness to the work of the Holy Spirit in the world.
