LIVE STREAM TRIDUUM MAY 21, 22, 23 FROM ITALY TO HONOR MARY HELP OF CHRISTIANS

(ANS – Rome) – May is a Salesian month. The Salesian Family, alongside the whole Church, is waiting for the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, celebrates the holiness of its members (St Domenico Savio, St Maria Mazzarello, St Luigi Orione, St Leonardo Murialdo, Blessed Józef Kowalski) and feels especially protected by her Mother and Teacher, Mary Help of Christians. Right under the mantle of Help of Christians, like the apostles of the first Christian community, the Consulta, the World Advisory Council, of the Salesian Family will meet on 21, 22 and 23 May for its the annual meeting – once again online – of the World Leaders of the 32 officially recognized Groups belonging to it.

The Consulta seeks to express the charismatic unity of the Salesian Family in an institutional way. It represents the propitious space for promoting communion between the various groups that make it up and ensuring the development of the Salesian charism. It is the privileged meeting place for dialogue and common reflection.

This year there are also three different “open” moments, that is, visible to all interested parties via live streaming (with commentary in Italian, Spanish, English and Portuguese) on the ANS Facebook page.

On the first day, Friday 21, from 2 pm to 4 pm Italian time (UTC + 2): Opening of the work sessions with the interventions of the Rector Major, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, and Fr Gustavo Cavagnari, SDB, professor of Pastoral Theology at the Salesian Pontifical University (UPS), whose report will address the theme: ‘”I am making all things new”. Hope and care for the present.’

Sunday 23, starting at 12:30 (UTC + 2): Celebration of the Holy Mass on the Solemnity of Pentecost from the Shrine of Mary Help of Christians in Turin, presided over by Fr Joan Lluís Playà, Central Delegate of the Rector Major for the Salesian Family.

Monday 24, starting at 6:30 pm (UTC + 2): Celebration of the Holy Mass on the Feast Day of Mary Help of Christians at the Turin Shrine, presided over by the Rector Major, Fr Á.F. Artime.

The detailed program of the three days’ work is available here.
