Sunday 2 of Ordinary Time

FRIENDS and SERVANTS of the WORD Sunday, January 14, 2018 Week Two of Ordinary Time   WORD of the DAY    “Rabbi” (which translated means Teacher), “where are you staying?”  He said to them, “Come, and you will see.” So, they went and saw where he was staying, and they stayed with him that day. For the first time in John’s Gospel, Jesus speaks and asks a question: “What are you looking for?”  The Teacher does not impose Himself with commands or laws.  He seeks an answer from those who follow Him.  It is a question that still today and that from us, desires a word, a return.  But instead of an answer, a question resounds in time and still today: “Rabbi, where are You staying?” The need to know the identity of this mysterious man who has just worked extraordinary signs is evident.  Home is the place where we show ourselves in the transparency of relationships and of affections.  Where do You live means who are You?...
