FRIENDS and SERVANTS of the WORD Second Monday of Lent, March 18, 2019 WORD of the DAY Be merciful, just as [also] your Father is merciful. Stop judging and you will not be judged. Stop condemning and you will not be condemned. Forgive and you will be forgiven. Give and gifts will be given to you; a good measure, packed together, shaken down, and overflowing, will be poured into your lap. For the measure with which you measure will in return be measured out to you. (Luke 6: 36-38) How shall I live this Word? “Jesus, let us know the Father”. This was the invocation during the Mission in Milan in 1957 that was spoken by the then Cardinal Montini, after, Paul VI, who had described an experience of searching and faith that then spread around the world. In a city, in a region where haste, overwork, and earnest anxiety were the basis of desire, one felt the urgency to know God as Father and asked this grace from His beloved Son.
