Proclaim the Word

FRIENDS and SERVANTS of the WORD FIRST THURSDAY of ADVENT December 3, 2020 WORD of the DAY  “Everyone who listens to these words of mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on rock.  The rain fell, the floods came, and the winds blew and buffeted the house. But it did not collapse; it had been set solidly on rock.  And everyone who listens to these words of mine but does not act on them will be like a fool who built his house on sand.  The rain fell, the floods came, and the winds blew and buffeted the house. And it collapsed and was completely ruined.”  (Matthew 7: 24-26) How shall I live this Word?   What is the difference between the wise and the foolish? It is not in listening to the Word of God that both welcome with attention and care, as a precious and beautiful thing, as we do? Listening, reflecting, meditating are important, but these are not enough. Welcoming the Word of God only makes sense if it becomes life, if it is transformed into concrete gestures, acts of love, charity towards each other. It only makes sense...
