Tenth Monday in Ordinary Time

FRIENDS and SERVANTS of the WORD Monday June 11, 2018 Week Ten of Ordinary Time             WORD of the DAY  As you go, make this proclamation: ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.  Cure the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, drive out demons. (Matthew 10: 7)  How shall I live this Word? Jesus speaks to the apostles and invites them to go, to walk the streets. The apostles go and move the reality they encounter. They do not pass by with indifference, or unnoticed. The movement of their going intertwines with the new words that proclaim and above all with the movement which, in the bodies of those whom they meet, produces healing and a visible and evident passage from infirmity to dynamism. The lepers are cleansed, the dead rise again, the demons flee. Salvation passes through, crosses reality, and transforms it. Transformation that becomes conversion and reconstruction in humanity, of the image of God in whose likeness it was created.   Lord, forgive us for the times our communities, our churches have forgotten Your likeness and are more similar to a monument that no one goes to visit.  The Voice of Msgr.
