FIRST TUESDAY of ADVENT

  FRIENDS and SERVANTS of the WORD December 5, 2017 FIRST TUESDAY of ADVENT     WORD of the DAY  At that very moment he rejoiced [in] the holy Spirit and said, “I give you praise, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for although you have hidden these things from the wise and the learned you have revealed them to the childlike.  Yes, Father, such has been your gracious will (Luke 10: 21)   How shall I live this Word? Jesus praises the Father because He has hidden the mysteries of the Kingdom of God from the wise and learned and has revealed them to the little ones who are humble, pure of heart, and therefore know how to receive the message brought by Jesus with joy and enthusiasm.  As we enter into Advent, it is very important to renew our awe before the Messiah who brings us salvation.  God comes among us and calls us to be part of His family.
