FRIENDS and SERVANTS of the WORD December 30, 2018 Feast of the Holy Family JESUS MARY JOSEPH WORD of the DAY And his commandment is this: we should believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and love one another just as he commanded us. (1 John 3: 23) How shall I live this Word? This is His commandment: that we believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ and we love one another, according to the precept that He has given us. To say that Christianity is full of inhibitions is really not only false but opposed to the truth. What God in fact commands coincides with what human beings of every age have considered the good par excellence: to be loved and to be able to love. Yes, the essential thing is to open your heart to believe in the Son of God Jesus Christ who, in His Mystery of Incarnation, Passion, Death, and Resurrection, has loved through His divine initiative.
