FRIENDS and SERVANTS of the WORD 27th Wednesday of Ordinary Time OUR LADY OF THE HOLY ROSARY October 7, 2020 WORD of the DAY He was praying in a certain place, and when he had finished, one of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray just as John taught his disciples.” He said to them, “When you pray, say Father, hallowed be your name.” (Luke 11: 1-2a) How shall I live this Word? When you pray, say “Father” because prayer can only be that of children who recognize in the Almighty Lord the Father who gave them life and loves them from eternity. Prayer can only be that of children who know they need a Father who supports them and accompanies them on the roads of life, and they turn to Him with trust and love. Prayer can only be that of children who feel themselves fragile and needy creatures and turn to their Creator in the certainty that He and only He will be able to help them.
