Fourth Monday in Ordinary Time

FRIENDS and SERVANTS of the WORD Monday, February 5, 2018   WORD of the DAY   Whatever villages or towns or countryside he entered, they laid the sick in the marketplaces and begged him that they might touch only the tassel on his cloak; and as many as touched it were healed. (Mark 6: 56) How shall I live this Word? Today, the evangelist continues the reality he often communicates in his Gospel: the crowds run to the Teacher.  His quality as a healer has spread everywhere and many people line up along the road carrying their sufferings, and the sufferings of their family members.  Their look is full of faith, and perhaps, some curiosity. Who is this man who heals all illnesses?  It became known that a woman who was bleeding touched the fringe of his mantle and was cured.  Thus, there was a race to get close to Him to obtain a miracle.  Those who have a simple heart, go among the crowd and touch, not only His hem, but seek to feel the healing glance of Jesus on them. I will ask the Lord in prayer today: “Let Your Face shine on me and bless me!”...
