GOOD FRIDAY

  FRIENDS and SERVANTS of the WORD GOOD FRIDAY April 10, 2020  WORD of the DAY   Standing by the cross of Jesus were his mother and his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary of Magdala.  When Jesus saw his mother  and the disciple there whom he loved, he said to his mother, “Woman, behold, your son.”  Then he said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother.” And from that hour the disciple took her into his home. (John 19: 25-27)  How shall I live this Word? In every time of suffering and fatigue, there is a Mother present, silent, waiting, and rich in love!  In every situation of sadness or joy, of success or sin, we can always turn to the Mother, the only one who loves you as you are and in spite of everything, the one who knows you and does not judge you, even if she corrects you.  She is always on your side and supports your choices.  At any rate, there is always the Mom, the one who holds in her hand the thread of family relationships, the one who softens and heals difficult rapports, the one who keeps the family united.  In...
