Third Monday of Easter

  FRIENDS and SERVANTS of the WORD Third Monday of Easter, April 16, 2018  WORD of the DAY  Jesus answered them and said, “Amen, amen, I say to you, you are looking for me not because you saw signs but because you ate the loaves and were filled.  Do not work for food that perishes but for the food that endures for eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on him the Father, God, has set his seal.    (John 6: 26-27)   How shall I live this Word? In the preceding days, the crowds had followed Jesus and were present at the multiplication of the bread and they had been sated.  When they realize that the Teacher is no longer where the miracle had happened, they get on boats and go toward Capernaum.  When they arrive on the other shore, they ask Jesus when He had arrived there.  It was a question dictated by self-interest.
