Do whatever Jesus tells you…

FRIENDS and SERVANTS of the WORD April 9, 2021  EASTER FRIDAY WORD of the DAY  Jesus revealed himself again to his disciples at the Sea of Tiberias. He revealed himself in this way. Together were Simon Peter, Thomas called Didymus, Nathanael from Cana in Galilee, Zebedee’s sons, and two others of his disciples. Simon Peter said to them, “I am going fishing.” They said to him, “We also will come with you.” So they went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing. Open to Jesus

FRIENDS and SERVANTS of the WORD JANUARY 18, 2021 Monday – Week Two WORD of the DAY  The disciples of John and of the Pharisees were accustomed to fast.  People came to him and objected, “Why do the disciples of John and the disciples of the Pharisees fast, but your disciples do not fast?” Jesus answered them, “Can the wedding guests fast while the bridegroom is with them? As long as they have the bridegroom with them they cannot fast. But the days will come when the bridegroom is taken away from them, and then they will fast on that day.  No one sews a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old cloak. If he does, its fullness pulls away, the new from the old, and the tear gets worse. Likewise, no one pours new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the wine will burst the skins, and both the wine and the skins are ruined. Rather, new wine is poured into fresh wineskins.  (Mark 2: 18-22) How shall I live this Word?   “New wine in new wineskins.”  What good we do should be hosted within a change of the whole person. Jesus’ invitation is that of a total...
