SIXTH TUESDAY OF EASTER TIME

  FRIENDS and SERVANTS of the WORD SIXTH TUESDAY OF EASTER TIME May 19, 2020  WORD of the DAY   But now I am going to the one who sent me, and not one of you asks me,  ‘Where are you going?’  But because I told you this, grief has filled your hearts.  But I tell you the truth, it is better for you that I go. Sadness filled the disciples’ hearts when Jesus told them He would leave. Sadness and a sense of abandonment often inhabited the apostles.  On Good Friday when they saw Him on the cross and render His spirit and die.  Then, on Holy Saturday when with Mary they prayed and waited, in silence and with a torn heart, that He would return and fulfill their dreams.  On the way to Emmaus when they argued because they had not fully understood what had happened.  Finally, in the Upper Room when after many tears they saw Him again but … transformed, different from how He...
