HOLY THURSDAY

FRIENDS and SERVANTS of the WORD HOLY THURSDAY April 9, 2020 WORD of the DAY Before the feast of Passover, Jesus knew that his hour had come to pass from this world to the Father. He loved his own in the world and he loved them to the end. The devil had already induced Judas, son of Simon the Iscariot, to hand him over… So when he had washed their feet [and] put his garments back on and reclined at table again, he said to them, “Do you realize what I have done for you?” (John 13: 1-2/12) How shall I live this Word? Seventh Tuesday of Ordinary Time

FRIENDS and SERVANTS of the WORD Seventh Tuesday of Ordinary Time February 25, 2020 WORD of the DAY But they remained silent. They had been discussing among themselves on the way who was the greatest. Then he sat down, called the Twelve, and said to them, “If anyone wishes to be first, he shall be the last of all and the servant of all.” (Mark 9: 34-35) How shall I live this Word? In a world that is still sick with that ugly leprosy which is the thirst for power, Jesus indicates salvation and true freedom on opposite roads where those who decide to walk in authenticity of the spiritual life, follow the road of humility. Lord, grant that I may be free from the tyranny of power and of riches. Free and humble because I am able to love in truth those around me and serve them with love. The voice of St. Augustine, Church Father Pride transformed the angels into devils. It is humility that makes human beings equal to the angels. __________________________________________________________________________ Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, Via dell’Ateneo Salesiano 81, 00139 Rome, Italy E-mail: srmterzo@gmail.com Website: www.sanbiagio.org info@sanbiagio.org Blog: livingscripture.wordpress.com Comment by Sr. Maria...
