FIFTH SUNDAY OF EASTER TIME

FRIENDS and SERVANTS of the WORD FIFTH SUNDAY of EASTER TIME May 10, 2020 WORD of the DAY Thomas said to him, “Master, we do not know where you are going; how can we know the way?” Jesus said to him, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you know me, then you will also know my Father. From now on you do know him and have seen him.” (John 14: 5-7) How shall I live this Word? Jesus came to make the Father visible: in Him God has an image in which to mirror Himself, to whom to entrust the reverberation of his glory. The distance between the infinite and the finite is filled by the flesh of Christ, Mediator between heaven and earth. The words of this gospel provoke the refined intelligence to daring philosophical flights. For our part, among the absent lines of an unwritten testament, with the intelligence of the soul, we invoke the most modest grace to read a presence. Not words, not a thought, but a desire: He who has always been looking for us, expresses the language of love....
