ADORE JESUS

FRIENDS and SERVANTS of the WORD EPHIPANY OF THE LORD JANUARY 6, 2021 WORD of the DAY   They were overjoyed at seeing the star,  and on entering the house they saw the child with Mary his mother. They prostrated themselves and did him homage. Then they opened their treasures and offered him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. (Matthew 2: 10-11) How shall I live this Word?   Three wise men, scanning the eastern skies, saw an extraordinary star. They decide to follow it to discover its mystery. They leave home, family,  friends and set off. They follow the path of the shining light that precedes them. They learn from the Jewish scribes and doctors what Sacred Scripture had foretold of the birth of Christ. They resume their journey, see the star that precedes them again, and are led by its light to Bethlehem and, as the evangelist tells us, “They were overjoyed at seeing the star,  and on entering the house they saw the child with Mary his mother.
