FRIENDS and SERVANTS of the WORD 27th Friday of Ordinary Time October 9, 2020 WORD of the DAY Some of them said, “By the power of Beelzebul, the prince of demons, he drives out demons.” Others, to test him, asked him for a sign from heaven. But he knew their thoughts and said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself will be laid waste and house will fall against house. Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters. (Luke 11: 15-17/23) How shall I live this Word? To be with God or against God; to be on His side or on the other; to do what He teaches us or not do it… We need to ask Him this when we happen to be present at situations of violence and we do not intervene out of fear or because we don’t care… ‘This is not my business’…whose side are you on?
