Sixth Friday of Easter

FRIENDS and SERVANTS of the WORD Sixth Friday of Easter, May 11, 2018  WORD of the DAY   But I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy away from you.   On that day you will not question me about anything.   (John 16: 22) How shall I live this Word? The ultimate reason for our joy is seeing Jesus, His face.  The psalms had already sung, “Your face, O Lord, I seek”.  To see God, to meet Him face to face, is the highest experience of believers.  Very few people had the fortune of seeing Jesus as a human being and perhaps, did not recognize Him.  The most normal human experience is living desire, yearning to see God.  This gives motivation and strength for seeking God Himself, in the truth of His existence.  However, God’s image impressed on His creatures shortens the length of this searching.  In the face of each one, we can see and recognize the reflection of God’s face.  Divinity and humanity come together in the smiles, the tears, the expressions of the faces of those who are around us.
