Third Wednesday of Lent

  FRIENDS and SERVANTS of the WORD Third Wednesday of LENT March 18, 2020  WORD of the DAY   “Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets. I have come not to abolish but to fulfill.   (Matthew 5: 17)  How shall I live this Word? These words of Jesus Christ are interesting. They substantially consolidate the New and Old Testaments.  Thus we are illumined about this certainty:  the God of Abraham, Jacob; the God of Isaiah, and of the other prophets is the same One, who, in the person of Jesus, united the Old Covenant with the New Covenant.  The ancient Law does not lose significance, but rather find fullness and completion.  Lord, how beautiful it is to recognize in my mind and heart, that what You said has been accomplished, reaching its fullness.  Today’s Word is enough to say that You are Truth, a Truth so full as to be substantiated by giving Your life on the Cross so that in my ‘yes’ to Your Law of Love, my life becomes beautiful, full of precious love.
