FRIENDS and SERVANTS of the WORD Tuesday, January 7, 2020 WORD of the DAY The people who sit in darkness have seen a great light, on those dwelling in a land overshadowed by death light has arisen.” (Matthew 4: 16) How shall I live this Word? The Kingdom of God has come in the person of Jesus. The time of prophecy has ended with the total fulfillment of the promises. The Son of God has uprooted the location of His ‘tent’ in heaven and has brought it into our midst, by becoming the Son of Man. By transferring Himself to Capernaum, He became even closer to that sea of sin and superficiality that is our life. He did not lose time and did not make us wait very long. He took us as we are, lame, blind, hungry, erring, dragged along by the current of evil, in need of salvation. He stretched out His hand to us when we no longer hoped in anyone. He showed that God exists, waits for us, before our every thought, before our every request, before our every awareness. He is a continuous and inexhaustible gift, this Jesus we have found on our journey,...
