  FRIENDS and SERVANTS of the WORD Wednesday, January 17, 2018 Week Two of Ordinary Time   WORD of the DAY  “You come against me with sword and spear and scimitar, but I come against you in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel whom you have insulted.  Today the LORD shall deliver you into my hand. (1 Samuel 17: 45) How shall I live this Word? He will fall into adultery with Bathsheba and kill her husband viciously.  The correction from God will be strong.  But now, David has a free and innocent heart and is attentive to God’s indications to work for the good of all.  Therefore, God touched him to fight a dangerous enemy of his people: The Philistines among whom was the famous Goliath who was an invincible soldier.
