the Miracle of Love

FRIENDS and SERVANTS of the WORD FOURTH TUESDAY of ADVENT December 22, 2020 WORD of the DAY  And Mary said:  “My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord; my spirit rejoices in God my savior.  For he has looked upon his handmaid’s lowliness; behold, from now on will all ages call me blessed.  The Mighty One has done great things for me, and holy is his name.  His mercy is from age to age to those who fear him.             (Luke 1: 46-51) How shall I live this Word?   Only those who love you place you in a position to find the right words to say what you feel inside. It is the miracle of love, of loving each other; it is what happens to Mary in front of Elizabeth. With her, she finds the words to tell of her joy and the transformation that is taking place, not only in the womb of her body, but even more in that of her heart. He is called Jesus, the merciful One who loves all, in absolute gratuitousness, and pours His love abundantly into those who recognize Him and welcome Him.
