BELIEVE in the RISEN CHRIST

FRIENDS and SERVANTS of the WORD April 5, 2021  EASTER MONDAY WORD of the DAY  Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went away quickly from the tomb, fearful yet overjoyed, and ran to announce the news to his disciples. And behold, Jesus met them on their way and greeted them. They approached, embraced his feet, and did him homage. Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid. Go tell my brothers to go to Galilee,  and there they will see me.”   (Matthew 28: 8-10) How shall I live this Word?    “Go to Galilee” means for the disciples, remembering the path shared with Jesus, in order to recognize, in the light of the Scriptures, that the Master to whom others have given their life is none other than the Savior. In the Scriptures they will find the meaning of everything and, particularly, of the still too painful experience of the Passion and Crucifixion. “Go to Galilee” is, after all, the path that disciples of all times will have to undertake in order to understand, with the Gospel, how to illumine the experience of one’s own personal cross with hope. HOLY SATURDAY

FRIENDS and SERVANTS of the WORD HOLY SATURDAY – EASTER VIGIL April 11, 2020 WORD of the DAY And behold, Jesus met them on their way and greeted them. They approached, embraced his feet, and did him homage. Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid. Go tell my brothers to go to Galilee, and there they will see me.” (Matthew 28: 9-10) How shall I live this Word? How many fears, how many worries afflict our life, death, suffering, war, disease, failure, confrontation … And Jesus tells us strongly, “Do not be afraid” because He has overcome the world, He is stronger than any situation or person. He is the hope that helps us to live, He is the certainty that does not die, He is the meaning of life, He is the guide in our choices. He is the embrace that consoles, He is the companion that conquers solitude, He is the Friend who awaits us, He is the joy of the encounter. We are not afraid, we have no fear if we are with Him because He is the Lord of the world and of history. I am afraid, Lord, I am afraid so many...
