WORD of the DAY

What profit is there for one to gain the whole world yet lose or forfeit oneself?. (Luke 9: 25)

How shall I live this Word?

Here the Gospel brings words of Jesus that are strongly provocative. Unfortunately over the centuries many have allowed themselves to be taken by a mistaken thirst for gaining money, things, lands, and even people. Those who live honestly and with freedom of heart their own identity of man or woman in the today of history, must be on guard not to equivocate. Although involved in one’s work and justly paid, the real riches for the Christian is of the spiritual kind.

Lord, help me to let myself be illumined and guided by Your Holy Spirit. The first value is myself, if I am committed to daily accomplish with diligence what You want O Lord.

The voice of Mahatma Gandhi, political leader of non-violence
Humans are destroyed by politics without principles, by pleasure without conscience, by wealth without work, by knowledge without character, by business without morals, by science without humanity, by faith without sacrifices.
