Work with Jesus…

4 December 2021

WORD of the DAY

Jesus went around to all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the Gospel of the Kingdom, and curing every disease and illness. At the sight of the crowds, his heart was moved with pity for them because they were troubled and abandoned, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few; so ask the master of the harvest to send out laborers for his harvest.”         (Matthew 9: 36-38)

How shall I live this Word?

The aim of the coming of Jesus is not compassion.  God has immeasurable love and affection for His people.  He knows that we need Him constantly through people like us who live the heaviness of daily life.  Through them He makes His salvation come.  But this can also become an invitation for each one of us to becomes workers in harvest.

Freely you have received, freely give.

The Voice of  Maximilian Celin, Theologian

God does not erupt into our life and our history, but He gives us the time necessary to prepare ourselves.  He offers us a favorable occasion to pave the roads of access to our hardened and indifferent heart.
